Final Farewell And Hello Here I Come

Today a very major shift in my life happened. I completed therapy. I went to see my therapist to tell her  that during the last six months I have had a paradigm shift from being depressed and needy to being responsible for my own life and actions and feeling free.  I am absolutely in a good place mentally and spiritually and I no longer need her services. It was a really joyous meeting. I am myself becoming a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Progressive Goal Setting Coach. I will have my certification on March 12, 2015.

I know you must be thinking WHAT IS THAT? The clients I will work with will be involved in therapy for PTSD or just be leaving therapy for PTSD. At that time your mind is in a healing stage but the world is very large and overwhelming. You have to relate to it from where you are at that moment. I, as a coach, will help the client set goals to get themselves back into an active lifestyle. Many people reading this will not understand but anybody that has been in therapy for PTSD will. There is a no mans land between you and society. Society even to this day does not understand the Disorder much less a person that is healing or has been given all the tools to heal from it. There are people skills, relationship issues, and bonding issues that will need to be addressed. These issues are dealt with to some degree by good therapists. While in therapy you will learn about personal boundaries and you should have learned to be able to say NO when you really do not want to do something instead of allowing your insecurities about offending someone by  saying no to guide your life.

I am also being trained as a Group Facilitator and will hold workshops a couple of times a year for free. That way the client can determine if they need a coach in this area or not. In my Coaching Business it will be set up that the first couple of sessions are free if you have not been to a group that I have had and need some time to get to know me and see if I can help you in the area of my expertise. If you seem to need a different kind of Coach or are exhibiting signs that you need therapy not coaching I have some Associates that I can refer you to as well.

Coaching is NOT therapy I cannot diagnose, treat, or cure any illness. I am a guide in your life helping you to find ways to meet and complete goals that may seem overwhelming that therapy does not address while you still may need guidance in those areas. Coaching is very flexible. You are coached via telephone or skype which excites me because we have coaches that coach people all over the world due to that flexibility.

Coaching is not for everyone you have to be the type of person willing to learn what motivates you and what holds you back and that is where my training comes in. I help you find and understand those processes. A client can get what they need from one of the free sessions and never need me again. But there will be some clients that will want to work toward a specific goal and we will do that together. When the goal is accomplished they may never need me again either. But there might be other goals they are setting for themselves that they will need a coach to help them get from point a to point b. And I will try to be such a powerful resource in their lives that they spread the word.

I have personally been through PTSD therapy and if I had not had a husband that was a saint and cared so much for my welfare,  I would not be telling you today that I said a final farewell to my therapist, as my therapist. Where I am at now she welcomed me as an Associate. I will refer any client needing therapy to her. She did wonders for me.

My life is not perfect. there are things I have to deal with everyday like everyone else but I can tell you my life is Joyous. I am at such a good place in life. My goal is to help people reach the goals they set for themselves and to help them better their lives.

Training is awesome and the International Coach Certification Academy has the best group support that I have ever been a part of not to mention a great course study and an affordable tuition. This organization is a well oiled machine and you always have a support system as long as you remain a coach.

I have two coaches for myself. One is pro bono and she is coaching me through the marketing part of the program. But she makes it so simple that I will not need to bother her much. My other coach is for helping me to market my book “Scar Wars Forged In Fright” as it is coming out very soon. I have had a few delays but seasoned Authors said these kinds of delays are normal. So while I am waiting for the release date I am already setting up book signings and since I go to Manchester, New Hampshire for my final training I might try to set up a book signing there, too. My hotel is already booked and this coming Monday I purchase my airline tickets. Soon I will be delving into business licenses and insurance and I will have everything set up to be Coaching by mid April at the latest. Spring! A time of renewal, how perfect!
