The news has spread that my book “Scar Wars Forged In Fright” is about my early childhood abuse and having flashbacks that interrupted  the first nine years of my marriage. Mental Illness is still a stigma in society today and really it should not be that way. Because if we share our experiences and the healing we have obtained it could greatly improve the quality of someone else’s life dealing with their mental illness, a loved one’s mental illness, or even your own.

Hi! Saw your blog on LinkedIn. It actually linked to your book cover, but I decided to explore. First, love the book cover – very unique! Second, as someone who has also wrestled with depression and anxiety – but habitually bottle it up – I applaud your bravery and honesty in talking about these issues. Kudos!

    • Dearest Christie,

Thank you for the compliments. I actually have a string of diagnoses behind my name but my first book “Scar Wars Forged In Fright” Is mainly me addressing the PTSD. I plan on “Scar Wars” being a trilogy with Forged in Fright being the first book. It should be out by January 3,2015. Maybe earlier because I am always at the ready when my publisher beckons.

I was looking at my comments to see if I could improve my blog or even just use a subject that had been suggested when I came across your comment and I had not replied! I ask you to forgive that oversight! Thank you for your compliments I hope I haven’t offended you so bad that you haven’t been back to visit. If that is the case I am extending a personal invitation to revisit my blog.

      Sincerely,
      J.L. Pitts
